Roadway Construction and Workzone Safety Awareness Training
The training provided here aims at
- Increasing workers’ awareness of the physical and health hazards associated with roadway construction, rehabilitation and repairs
- Providing the knowledge necessary to perform work safely in workzones
Properly trained workers are more likely to realize the seriousness of hazards, and be prepared for identifying which work operations can lead to accidents. This training will equip the workers with the knowledge of how they can perform work safely on workzones through engineering and workplace controls, and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
Residential Construction Safety Awareness Training
The training provided here aims at
- Increasing workers’ awareness of the hazards associated with residential construction work
- Providing the knowledge necessary to perform work safely when there are hazards on the job site.
Properly trained workers are more likely to realize the seriousness of hazards, and be prepared. This training will equip the workers with the knowledge of how they can work safely at the residential construction sites through engineering and workplace controls, and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
Construction Noise Exposure and Hearing Conservation Training
The training provided here aims at
- Increasing workers’ awareness of the health hazards associated with occupational noise
- Providing the knowledge necessary to perform work safely when there is dangerous noise exposure levels on the job, and ways to limit exposures to levels below the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL).
Properly trained workers are more likely to realize the seriousness of noise hazards, and be prepared for identifying which work operations can lead to dangerous noise exposure levels. This training will equip the workers with the knowledge of how they can work safely around loud noises generated on construction sites through engineering and workplace controls, and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
Respirable Crystalline Silica Main Training
This is the main module is for trainees who has never received silica training before. The training provided here aims at increasing workers’ awareness of the serious health hazards of silica dust and providing the knowledge necessary to perform work safely when there is silica exposure, and ways to limit silica exposure to levels below the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL).
Excavation Training
The training provided here aims at increasing workers’ awareness on hazards associated with excavation and trenching work and provide the knowledge necessary to perform work safely while performing these tasks
- Excavation vs trench; hazards associated with excavation and trenching work
- How different soil types play role in excavation and trenching work
- Competent person and their reponsibilities
- Hazard control methods (engineering controls) for cave-ins and how to choose an appropriate engineering control method
- Other hazards associated with the excavation work in construction industry
- OSHA Standard on Excavations (29 CFR 1926 Subpart P)
Respirable Crystalline Silica Refresher Training
This refresher training is for people who have received training on the new OSHA standard more than a year ago and it aims to refresh the knowledge on silica dust and serious health hazards of silica exposure; and how to perform work safely when there is silica exposure, and ways to limit silica exposure to levels below the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) per the OSHA regulation 1926.1153
